Please be advised that the contact details for Erste Bank’s telephone customer services will soon change. The new (already active) telephone numbers that you can use to contact us, both from Hungary and from abroad, are the following:

We further inform you that, as of 1 October 2017, our telephone customer service will be available for our clients on banking days (Monday to Friday) between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m.

Outside the above period, i.e. on business days between 9.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m., as well as at weekends and on bank holidays, only emergency operations (such as disabling debit cards, NetBank or TeleBank access) can be carried out, and only general information regarding banking products can be received through our telephone customer service.

The reason for this change is that, pursuant to Decree 1/2016 (I. 15.) on the amendment of several decrees on identifier management, issued by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), during 2017, ERSTE Bank – along with other service providers – will terminate its “blue” number services, which can be called at local tariffs from anywhere in the country, using area code 40.

Please note that, from 1 October 2017, Erste Bank’s telephone customer service may only be reached during banking hours, at the telephone numbers listed above. If you wish to contact us then please dial one of these numbers. If our contact details are stored on your devices then we also recommend updating them as soon as possible.
