Our new prompt currency transfer service is available from 8 December 2017 in the Erste NetBank. From now on at banking days business hours (between 9.00 a.m and 4:00 p.m C.E.T.) we provide prompt conversion rates in your NetBank between HUF and the following currencies: EUR, USD, CHF, GBP, CAD. With our new service you can make foreign currency transfer immediately between your accounts.

Please be advised that the contact details for Erste Bank's telephone customer services will sooon change.   The   new   (already active)   telephone   numbers   that   you   can   use   to   contact   us,   both   from   Hungary   and   from   abroad, are the following:

We further inform you that, as of 1 October 2017, our   telephone   customer   service   will   be available for our clients on banking days (Monday to Friday) between 7.00 a.m. and 9.00 p.m

Outside the above period, i.e. on business days between 9.00 p.m. and 7.00 a.m., as well as at weekends and on bank holidays, only emergency operations (such as disabling debit cards, NetBank or TeleBank access) can be carried out, and only general information regarding banking products can be received through our telephone customer service.

The reason for this change is that, pursuant to Decree 1/2016 (I. 15.) on the amendment of several decrees on identifier management, issued by the National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH), during 2017, ERSTE Bank – along with other service providers – will terminate its “blue” number services, which can be called at local tariffs from anywhere in the country, using area code 40.

Please note that, from 1 October 2017, Erste Bank’s telephone customer service may only be reached during banking hours, at the telephone numbers listed above. If you wish to contact us then please dial one of these numbers. If our contact details are stored on your devices then we also recommend updating them as soon as possible. NetBank login information

You need your Erste NetBank ID and NetBank password for the login to Erste NetBank.
Erste Bank has sent you your initial NetBank password in a text message. For the purposes of security you will need to change this initial password during your first login.

Browser settings 
You can use any browser but we recommend to disable ad blocking extensions/addons (e.g. AdBlock) and enable Javascipt when logging in.

Changes in the Retail NetBank

We hereby inform our clients that our Retail NetBank has been enhanced with new functions and its menu system changed as of 21 September 2015.

New functions:

Credit-card repayment
You can settle your credit card debt simply with a few clicks through our NetBank. The Credit card repayment function is available from the Orders menu or through the quick link on the Account overview page.

Account reclassification
You can switch your account package to the adult Erste EgySzámla through our NetBank already. The function is available under the Settings menu item. Important! Only the account types defined in the current announcement can be reclassified.

Updating contact information
We continually aim at accurate and smooth communication with our clients. To this end, NetBank will send you a notification if your contact data were updated more than half a year earlier (correspondence address, e-mail address, phone number). In the pop-up window you can choose whether you want to modify the data. If yes, the system will redirect you to the Personal data menu item where you can perform the modification.

Changes in the menu system:

Apart from the addition of the menu items for the new services, some menu items have been removed for the purposes of quicker and more logical access. Please watch ourvideos in order to familiarise yourself with the changes in the menu system.

New smartphone trojan threat

ERSTE BANK HUNGARY ZRT. would like to draw the attention of online banking customers to the fact that computer criminals have devised a new method to try and abuse the accounts of banking customers without authorisation.

Hacking attacks may be prevented by applying appropriate attention and proper security measures!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Banks never post messages prompting users to supply their data on their websites or on the pages of their online banking services.
